FAQ'S

TSFA is a one-of-a-kind Football Academy.  As a result, we get asked many questions regarding the day-to-day running of the academy among other topics. We relish the opportunity to provide clarity to both prospective and current members of our academy. If you still have questions after reading through the FAQs below, please contact us and we will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible

Q. DO I HAVE TO BELONG TO THE SCHOOL (ESCA) TO JOIN THE TSFA?

Currently yes you do, and the benefits to do so are immense, daily coaching, training matches, football-specific gym regimes and football-focused atmosphere.

The 2022 fees are R2750 per month for 11 months. This covers 16 to 20 hours per week of field or gym work, Playermaker analysis and reporting plus training matches and assessments.

Currently there are 4 coaches for 20 boys: Mitch, Perry, Chris and Alan. Mitch is head Coach and Analyst. Perry is a technical and SAQ specialist Chris is an intern and technical Coach and Alan is the Goal Keeper Coach.

Q. WHAT TIME DO YOU TRAIN?

Currently we train in the morning during school hours. This allows the players recovery time in the afternoons before training matches or for quality study time.

Q. DO YOU HAVE TEAMS IN LEAGUES?

No. We do not play in leagues, we rather play selected friendlies. These matches are recorded with high-quality A.I. cameras and serve as the base for the players own performance assessment and the coaches performance feedback.

Q. WHAT KIT DO YOU WEAR?

The TSFA kit is specially manufactured to order and consists of a red branded top, navy shorts and branded navy socks plus a branded red and navy tracksuit. This is for the players account.

Q. WHAT IF A PLAYER GETS INJURED?

If a player gets injured, he still trains. We will put him onto a program where he will not utilize that part of the body that is injured, monitor his progress and ease him back into full training, with the direction of the specialist if it's a serious injury.

Q. WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Other than in lightening conditions we continue to train. If necessary we utilise the gym or do a tactical board session, but mornings are rarely disrupted.
